A friend asked me if I was interested in a couple of early sbc's. When he said $80, I said "Sure!"...
He was trying to make some room in his garage, and I have been trying to add some cool stuff to my garage(s). One is a 327 with a small journal crank and the other is a 283, but it also has a small journal 327 crank. I got a set of ram horn manifolds, two small cap distributors, two alternators (cores), a GM single groove short water pump pulley, a 2 barrel air cleaner (wall art), a cool old chrome coil, 2 iron 4bbl manifolds and a few brackets.:)

So, you put the 283 crank in the 327 and you have the rare 302 Chevy. Very popular in SCTA "D" cl***es.

For clarity...The one that is a 283 (block) also has a 327 crank in it, which comes out to be something like a 307???

I need to tear it down, but the block number is 3849852 which the net says is a 283. But the crank flange is that of a small journal 327. I don't have a 283 crank.

Shouldn't be to tough to trade a sj327 crank (ya got two right?) for a good 283 crank. Follow grandpa's recipe, and let the fun begin! Everybody likes a little screamer once in a while.:D
