I’ve never really understood why someone would wanna cut the top off of a perfectly looking coupe to make it into a not so perfectly looking roadster....kinda like how “scroadster” looks and sounds.
O...I...C...! I get it now. Sport Coupe + ROADSTER = SCROADSTER. Letters and syllables combined in new ways once repeated often enough become accepted as words. And so it's always been.
Phtttttttt I use a yard stick. I think what the fella is asking is if there is a thread for building a metal roof for a roadster. @metalshapes built a roof for his unibody roadster, probably if you did a search using his name for the poster and roof for the key word you could find some pretty good tech on the subject.
Lesson of the day. If you're gonna be a member of the Keyboard Gestapo and throw around insults you should first know what the hell you're talking about.
LOL I got friend or two from the Nor East. I don't know the difference between scrod and cod, but I know a few who won't eat it is its called cod.
You know every year "they" publish a list of words that are to be banned from our lexicon, for instance "fake News" was on this year's list. I think it is about time we had our own list. I would nominate; 1. Scroadster 2. Dizzy 3. Gold chainer 4. Fake Patina There are likely more I have missed that make me do the "eye roll thing" when I read them, but hey, it's a free world. Actually it's not, but seriously, It is.
Free world now there is an oxy-moron Add Belly button to the list. I mean really? We only have a handful of motors that we work with so they are all pretty much belly buttons.
Dizzy ain't so bad, that is if it's installed correctly. It makes sense. However "stabbing" the distributor ( or dizzy for that matter) should be banned. It makes my scroadster crawl. Contrafibularities On the hijack Billy
hijacking has been averted. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/2018-hamb-banned-words-suggestions.1092559/
We've really been put in our places boys. Our scroadster inventor has told us that we should know what we are talking about. Almost like he believes himself Ain't this stuff fun ?
You guys have repeated "scroadster" so many times now, Webster has already included in the next print edition. (It's kind'a fun saying "scroadster" in a crowded room and watching the eyebrows go up. ) ..
That is the essence of the definition of "delusion" - nearly text book and DSM-5 However pointing out the falsity to the one having the delusion in this way is not good and would be more than frowned upon by the profession. Since this forum is more like hanging out in the garage,,,, we get this
Haha, you guys are hilarious...I´m not even good at English, but I do know that a Coupe with its roof cut off is a Fubar-ster most of the times..
I had a scroadster once but I lobster...I liked her so much I searched until I flounder! I might have tracked her down by sound if I wasn't loosing my herring.
Lots of fun. I always appreciate a little mental exercise. Battle of the wits. umm.. halfwits. All I have to say is COVFEFE!!
