SCTA, drylakess racing history? 1940s?

I am trying to fill in some details on an old RPU that was built in the 40s in Socal. Is there an online archive of the early dry lakes meets? I understand this car was built in 42 and held a record? As soon as I find a couple more pics and can scan some info, I will try to post a rather interesting history.
