I've seen a few other posts about some HAMB'ers doing a once a month breakfast meet but haven't seen anything close to my area..or even in my state. Anyone from the southeast area of Pa interested in doing a monthly meet up? ...harrisburg,lancaster,reading, allentown, hamburg, etc...We'd have to pick a place ...

  2. I think about this a lot too, it would be great if it could be close to Allentown, just because it would be central to many of us in NJ and PA. I was talking to Cuzn Brucie about doing it in a few weeks so that we will have more salt in our food and less on the cars!

I'd be more for Harrisburg, ro even a bit north. A bunch of us live up here in central PA-Allentown's a good 90 minutes for me-that would take a lot of breakfast time-especially given the limited time off I have.

  5. How about somewhere between Harrisburg and the PA border. Cabela's?

Maybe it could be a HAMB and CHEESE meet, more around lunch since it is a haul for all.

Cabella's area sounds like a good idea to me, not sure if i could make it or not though.
Weekend time is pretty precious right now.

I wish i had a decent shop with parking, I'd love to have a monthly get together if I did.

Hamb and cheese meet, not a bad idea id like to meet some hambers around Carlisle. Cabelas is about an hour and half from me. Harrisburg wouldnt be bad.

  11. Good to see breakfast catching on . Remember its an important part of a healthy hot rod lifestyle.:D Someone has to take charge and set the date and place to get it off the ground. It was just "OldBobSign" and myself for the first 3 or 4 breakfasts. So dont give up easy. We now have a weekly turnout of 10+ people every Saturday and we havent even got to the good weather. Maybe if we get enough of these going we can put together a national HAMB breakfast tour?

and sometimes you get surprise guests:p:D buttin in ;) LOL

  13. evol55 where are you located?

Maybe we would have to look at a NJ HAMB+Cheese(or eggs or grits :D) AND a PA HAMB+Cheese.

Harrisburg is a haul for us NJ folk. HAMBurg, PA is about an hour and a half from me too. I think it is even a longer haul for Brucie, and I know he would be game for it.

palosfv3, Cuzn Brucie and I have been talking about this for a bit too. I am sure it would evolve into something bigger, but be pretty small for a while. But the idea is GREAT! And surprise guests are always welcome.

how about you rotate the location on a monthly basis, hamburg or further east or south east one month (ever hear of shady maple in blue ball), then the next month in or around harrisburg.... just a thought

This is a great idea! Count me in. I live in Delaware County, about 15 miles south of Philly
Maybe after we get a bunch of replies we could plot them on a map and pick the most central place.....or we could rotate the meeting place to make it fair to all.
It would be cool to meet at an old silver diner.

  24. we have a vintage diner here in hatboro

I'd be in as long as its not in Pittsburg! Maybe something like an hour or so from me I'd be up for. Trenton isn't too bad of a ride for me, we could even rotate the locations to accomidate all.

  26. From the comments about the distance between everyone ,it sounds like you could do several area breakfasts.

I've got 2 clear, level acres for "festival" parking--once it gets warm I'll volunteer the land (and pool, firepit, horseshoe pits) for a get-together in York.

Ephrata area here, not really a "regular" here on the forum but wouldn't mind meeting up and getting to know all the PA locals.
