I'll be there as long as there's no rain - wipers sorta work and no heater/defroster in the '46 and no wipers on the '39.
'Sounds like a terrific HAMB event, 'looking forward to it.

This is a great idea. I'll try to make it for the breakfast.
It's a good idea to meet at Cabela's lot.
Maple Groves flea market and then meetin' abunch of you guys would be a good day.

  12. Well, I'm from just 14 miles south of the PA line which adds up to 130miles/ and 2-1/2 hrs from that Cabela's which would be a good cruise for me and the 48. Plus, I need to stop by 46mopar's and drink some of his beer and make a day of it. Sounds good to me. If you need me, I'll be thrashin on the Plym.

Also right off of the Pa Turnpike at the Reading/Lancaster exit is Silk City Diner. In the past, friends and I have met there for breakfast and tooled over to Maple Grove for the Geezer's events.

And Silk City is a mile from my house too !!

Keep an eye on the Grove events and maybe the summer HAMB and Cheese could be a Silk City/Maple Grove double !!

    :D

I'm in Mechanicsburg. My car is a bit 'new' to fit in with the Hamb crowd though ('65 Chevy II).

I may be yanking the 327 in the coming weeks for some planned work. If it is still together, maybe I will try and come to Hamburg on 3/29.

  17. I believe the cutoff year here is 66, you'll be fine! Kinda wish it was one year later so I can show off my Barracuda.

Is there some kind of year limit to this event? I was thinkin' that this is a HAMB fun get together. My coupe is not done and I was plannin' on drivin' my 79 Malibu wagon beater/parts chaser from Maple Grove flea over to this meet just to meet some of you HAMBers.

Good to hear. Other than the Centerline Telstar wheels, my car sorta-kinda fits the traditional mold w/ red rolled and pleated interior and an engine decked out w/ vintage 302 Z/28 finned valve covers and air cleaner. Best of all, it was built by me and my Dad on a LOW budget back when I was in high school. No high dollar "muscle car" here.

Even though I have a "newer" car, I am strictly DIY and love the traditional hot rods. Guess that is why I am drawn to this place...

If you car is not done...bring what you can. My 23 roadster and 57 chevy aren't done so I'll be driving my 04 Taurus...ha....unless I can hitch a ride!

....some other guys..have said something about a cuda and a nova...just bring them who gives a sh**...I'd rather take something like that then my Taurus!

    Hey Homemade,
Thanks for clearin' the no year at the " PA HAMB and Eggs Meet" limit thoughts up.
I like that the HAMB Board is for traditional hot rods and kind of limited to pre'65.
Mustangs,Camaros,Novas,Malibus, etc have their own boards (which I visit on occasion)but, I also like to look at them and meet the folks that own them.

  23. Sweet, I believe I shall be there, barring any unforeseen circumstances, i.e.-I lose a leg and/or arm in a brutal thresher accident. Being that I don't own or have ever operated a thresher, and don't ever plan to, that occurrence is highly unlikely.

Silk City is nice, would be a good place for another get together.

  25. Damn, can't even keep up with all these posts, and I was only in Detroit for 2 days!

Novadude, you are all good. Run what you brung, we just don't let those new cars into the big parties :D. (Just kidding).

The Silk city thing sounds good. There are a lot of HAMBers out there too, so that would be a good meet.

Dave, Yeah, been out looking for it. Going to call a guy in Windgap today and stop by the local bodyshop to see if he has anything (he has a couple of rods and parts).

  26. Ill try to make it(depends on work will have my schedule soon).....coming from Waynesboro PA 17268, bringing the ole 55 chief, if anyone from the pa/md border wants to meet and cruise up together lel me know......

I just checked long-range weather, the report is sunny and 75....probably wishful thinking.
