SE Pennsylvania HAMB and eggs

Not to bash Cabella's (since it is kinda a cool store, just piss poor business relations with the community-Think the Wal-Mart of sporting goods when it comes to business practices).

One exit before Rt. 61 is Hamburg. They have a really cool diner in the center of town called, what else, Hamburg Diner. Well, I should say I hope they still do. They still serve soda with the syrup and seltzer.

Awesome platters and killer shoo fly pie. Just my two cents...

 

FYI: March 29-30 is the Maple Grove Raceway spring swap meet. March 30 is the Salem County Fairgrounds (relocated spring Cowtown,NJ) swap meet. You may want to consider a nice sit down lunch at the Haig's House or Shartlesville Hotel. Think about making the date in May, all the large swap meets will be over and the weather will be nicer. Hopefully we'll also have one in April and May in addition to the one planned for this month on the 29th. Regardless of the weekend, there will always be conflicts that come up.

 

Okay, did we come up with a definite time and place,for certain?

 

There ya go 5Window...we are meeting at Cabelas then heading out from there. Just look for a bunch of hoodlums!!

 

I will miss the first one because I have a car in that needs to be finished before its warm out and I'm already booked for the Roundup and Vegas, but I will make the next one if its just as close.

Is there a specific place to meet up in the Cabela's parking lot? I have never been there.I would think that the lot is pretty large.

u guys r making me hongry. hamburg (the town near cabelas) has diners, drove thru to a swap meet cuppla weeks ago, 75 mins from me. hows bout the sunday after easter - march 30 ? or, lunch at swap meet at maple grove drag-o-way the day before?

Well, we all second that. I'm betting we'd even buy your breakfast.

 

Sounds like it could be a fun time. I was supposed to go to another event in Morgantown, but this one could be even better. If I have the 34 ready, I should be able to make it. The Olds needs more work before it will see the light of day this year. Besides, at 6 mpg, the Olds would not be my first choice in gas guzzlers to take on a 3 hour cruise.

 

Is there a car event in Morgantown that day?

Well aren't you guys sweet.
I'm laying low and giving my bank acct time to recover for a couple of weeks, then hitting the Lonestar RoundUp, then more recovery time, then Big Olds will be out in full cruzn force the begining of May. Him and I will be in York Springs, PA for the Jalopy Showdown. I'll see you guys there.

 

Denise says its her bank account, but we ALL know that she is still finishing up the Jello shots that I missed . At least you will make the Showdown, right?
