Have any of you hoodlums ever used SEA FOAM? I was told that it really works but they have been saying that about'' mouse milks" for years!

I worked with an older mechanic in the early 70s. He swore by it. Put it in gas tanks for upper end lube, down the carb to decoke the valves,in the engine oil to quiet lifters,etc.etc. Normal Norman

I've used it on my cars and bikes. Seems to get junk out of the fuel system pretty well. Saved me a few times too.

I used it on a high mileage OT car once...worked great, though be sure to run it outside your garage, because the stench is awful! Lots of smoke, too.

BTW, its great for finding exhaust leaks, too...

Sea Foam has worked well for me. I used to mix it in my boat gas to absorb moisture like gas line antifreeze. It also is good for treating gasoline before you store your car, like "Stabil".

I don't think much about SNAKE OILS,but that stuff is the BEST.You can get it as a spray or a liquid. If you try it I'll bet you will like it.

We have constant problems with fuel in small engines now that they're trying to shove that corn sqeezings (ethanol) **** on us. The carbs will go completely green inside with algae seemingly overnight. My poor old weedeater won't hardly stay running without using the Seafoam. It keeps on running now that I use it though, also works out great for the old cars that tend to sit a lot around our garage....

1 can in the full gas tank, 1/2 can in the crankcase (right before an oil change) and **** 1/2 can into the intake through a brake booster hose or just dump it right in. Shut the engine down, let 'er sit for a few, start 'er back up and watch the smoke show. Change the nasty oil and enjoy.

Sounds like a drink recipe, I'll have mine on the rocks please.

It does a good job of removing carbon (in my world anyways).

sea foam has a trans treatment???? have not seen that?

  17. Sea Foam's #TT16 is called Trans Tune, great stuff, not a leak stop but a valvebody cleaner. And the liquid cleaner for engines is #SF16, great product as well and the aerosol spray cleaner Deep Creep #DC14. I have a lot of positive response on all these fine chemicals, always good to hear positive feedback from satisfied customers.

I have used it in motorcycles, quads, small engines and cars and it has helped to clean out the fuel systems without any promblems

  22. Another thumbs up from me......

  23. I've known mechanics who use it and like it. But it've seen it in action, and it really smokes up the neighborhood.

Rather than that, though, my preference (sorry for the blatant plug) is Techron Concentrate. I have first-hand knowledge of its cleaning strength and power restoration capabilities. We've carefully weighed intake valves before and after treatment. Also done dyno power testimg on the "before" vs the "after" intake valves. The stuff really does work.

I had a 302 ford motor that was seized up from being stored in a very humid farm building. It only sat for about 3 years but it was locked up tight. I put the motor on a stand took the spark plugs out of one side and turned the motor so I could fill the cylinders up with Seafome. Let it sit for 3 days and did the other side. It worked great, Motor spun right over. And actually ran very well and didnt smoke
