I need to start sealing up my Chrysler coupe, any thoughts on what to use for seam sealer both inside and outside on whats gonna be painted surfaces? For example, from the cowl to the turret under the windshield area. What have you guys done?

I have used "sika" flex car body seam sealer. Not sure if you have it over there but it is good stuff. Made in Europe I believe.

Lord-Fusor is what I have been using for years. Doesn't shrink like the 3M stuff

I have used 3M. Comes in a sausage type pack and takes a special gun. Works great.
Probably not worth the expense for 1 car, but great for a shop.

Epoxy (2-part) is way better than the old stuff I used for 40 years. No shrinkage, excellent adhesion and can be sanded. I use SEM. It takes a special gun. No that much money and well worth it.

i like 3m fast and firm, in a caulk tube. flows out nice. i always epoxy prime first.

  7. What cad-lasalle says! 3m also makes a 2 part epoxy type seam sealer. I'm sure fusor and others make it also. I will not use anything but this type of seam sealer.

Exactly what I use and have had good results. HRP

  9. The sem 2 part sealer is good to go directly to metal. Not that I recommend it.

I'll have to get the info for the stuff we use at our shop . It's good stuff & we've used it for the 20 years I've been restoring cars there with no issues . I think it's 3m ultrapro - I'll post back with a part # .

All are quality sealers. I prefer 2 part epoxies.
Each brand line has many different seam sealers for different areas on the car. Some will flow more, some will hold a brush mark, all are selling bare metal sealer.
    I always prime before.
You can get all of these online.
