Hot Rods Searching for the perfect Cream Color

    Don't know what the name of the color is, but I saw this at the SRN and thought it was outstanding. I think the flame makes the cream look less bland than it does alone.

    I think that cream color works especially well against the contrast of the really white sidewalls. To my tired old eyes that helps more than the nicely restrained flames.

    If I was choosing a cream it would be a lighter one and this would be it!

    I've built Three Vanilla/Creme colored cars. In 1982 I did a deuce sedan painted 80 Ford French Vanilla Creme. in the early 2000's I did a Dearborn Deuce we painted that early 2000's Chrysler 300 Vanilla that was every where. Finally I did my deuce delivery in Henry Ford Folkstone Grey which is in reality a light tan/vanilla color

    That's this car (Full House)....not sure if they kept it the same color as Jim Inglese @jimrob painted it.

    i had a house painter explain to me that without light, there is no color. so definitely the time of day will affect what we're seeing.
