My personal thoughts would be....if you have heavy items (people) in the back moving forward, would that unsecure your seat and also your seatbelt mounting?

I have just fitted 3 lap belts in the 53 buick and used 4 holes, sharing the center 2 holes for the middle lap belt.
I also did the same for the rear seat.

I look at as with seperate mounting points you have two points restraning you the seat attachment and the belt attachment. I also added additional reinforcement to the floor for both. my $.02.

***UMING YOU MEAN TWO BELTS ONLY ON THE FRONT SEAT, DOUBLE THE SIZE OF THE UNDER FLOOR BACKING PLATE ,AND DOUBLE THE SIZE OF THE COMMON BOLT.
BE CAREFUL THAT DRILLING THE BELT END FITTING FOR THE BIGGER BOLT DOES NOT WEAKEN THEM.
