Hey everyone, new here, I've been a lurker for years and figured it was time to join. I'm putting together a 34 Plymouth 5 window coupe. So the question at hand after doing hours of internet searching as I'm trying to get foam and or covers for them: I acquired these seats that were in a very hacked together mud truck type deal with a 66 VW bug body attached(?) to the frame. They don't resemble much of a 60s era bug seat from my searching. Mention of the hack job truck leads me to believe the lower seat track was NOT spot welded to the cut apart floor pan by the "builders" of this truck. Which leads me to believe they cut the floor out of something that these seats originally came in and used the cut floor to zip screw them in. I'm thinking they possibly came out of 60s-70s MG or something of that nature? They have a similar shape of the MG roadster but the tracks and center seat latch don't match up. Any help is appreciated !
probably foreign, probably late 1960s (since they have a tilt latch, but no headrest). So, off topic for the HAMB?
I'm thinking they are in the Chrysler family. Many years ago, I had a '69 Dodge A-100 van, one of the old-style vans where the driver and front p***enger sat directly over the front wheels with the doghouse for the engine between the front seats. Your seats are designed to fold down for rear seat access, and the ones in that old Dodge A-100 didn't fold down, but the upholstery pattern looks the same. My best guess would be 2 door Dodge Dart/Plymouth Valiant.
You were closer than I was getting and Joe Blow proved you were on track. Hell yeah! Thanks times a million!
