  1. Not all aftermarket seats are high back, and not all would need to be stripped and reworked!

Just letting people know what they might be getting themselves in to. I worked on 2 sets of seats for 2 different vehicles where I had to cut the seats and have them modified. With poured foam over the frames.

I looked and looked for a bench for my '55 F100. Nothing was 'traditional' enough, or if it was, not 'nice' enough.
I finally made some square tubing frames, and mimicked a '32 Ford side bolster frame (3/4" plywood, covered with cotton under naugahyde 'Elastofab', (cool stratchy naugahyde like they used in '60-75 Cadillacs)
My upholstery guy now has them in 'uphols. jail', so my Diamonte buckets are back in there for now...

These bucket seats were from a Volvo car, my upholstery man redid the foam to add some lateral support, he had to make the risers and forward back adjustment. Looked great and sat Very comfortable, I was happy with his work and back then only 4K for the complete interior job. He's retired now and I miss him and his abilities. If we got Do-Overs, this is the car I should have kept. It Is What It Is.

Speedway has some Mustang size buckets with side support built in.
