    Help please guys,
These seat are in a '46 Ford Tudor that I bought out of CA.
Can anyone advise me what vehicle they originated from please.
They have an adjustable tilt but don't appear to have a quick release fold down function typical in a two door vehicle. I'm hoping there might be a two door version available with that function from sister model.
The build photo that came with the car shows them with fold down arm rests which were removed when they were re-upholstered.
    Thanks in advance.

    WOW, that was quick.
I found this online but I'm still not sure if they're a match and whether there would be a two door fold down version available?

I'm ***uming the thought process is to find a seat that the new upholstery could be swapped over to. Wouldn't be the best solution, but in the likely event you won't find them, a bit of engineering and fab work could produce a base that would allow the entire existing seat to pivot forward.
That was the hardest part in finding seats for my '57 that I liked.........had to come out of a 2 dr, and they're not too plentiful in the salvage yards.
Just my 2 cents on the high back style, which mine are as well, if not higher............I do a lot of roadtrips, and in nice weather, it's not unusual for me to sleep in my car. Mine fold all the way down, and if it weren't for the highbacks, there's no way I could sleep in the car. When I first put them in, I figured temporary until I could afford better, but no way those highbacks are going anywhere now! I'd post a pic, but more than likely would be considered off topic.

Jeep Wrangler TJ series (1997 up to about 2006) has a p***enger seat base that addresses this issue. The seat tracks allow the seat to slide forward some. Further latch release permits the seat to rise and pitch forward on a sort of parallelogram arm arrangement.

for the folding version, look at full size Blazers from the 70s-80s.

    Thanks everyone.
Jim I also think that you nailed it because from what I understand the original owner robbed the engine, drive train plus the seats from a Chevy light truck because it came with a 2 bbl 010 block 350 / TH350 and 8.5" 10 bolt rear.
I'm going to fabricate new seat bases anyway (did you notice the ****py flat bar seat mounts in the build photo) so I can easily make them tilt forwards.
As mentioned by Texas 57 I was hoping to find folding type sister model seats so I could swap over the like new upholstery I have.
Thanks again for all of your contributions guys.
