Glad that it found its way home! Now with that said Who would ever write a stupid headline like "Who would steal an 80-year-old car?" Guess the headline writer is not a car guy or girl. lolol
Wow, sad to glad in a matter of minutes for me. I am sure it was not just minutes for the owner of this nice A. Cool when it turns out like this, but rare! ~sololobo~
I'm glad they found it...some douche bag stole my motorcycle years ago, rode it 2500 miles with my personal plates on it{Bobbo1} and a towing company found it abandoned in a parking lot a year later...the local, state and county police never really said or did anything even though I filed a stolen vehicle report....I guess it takes good folks with a watchful eye to actually get the job done. Not really knocking the law enforcement folks as much as it would appear, but they just don't have the ready resources to find these things unless a freak pullover happens...for me, I'd figure the vanity plate on mine, a rag in the gas tank filler hole and a popped ignition lock might be a tip-off for any cop who might have seen it...that's how it was found, and no, that's not how it was last I had it. At least the guy could've rode mine right - I've never seen clutch steels purple like they were...sheesh! Like I said, I'm glad it's getting back to it's rightful owner!
It's good to see that it was recovered and apparently not damaged. The original poster needs to amend the first post to say that it has been recovered though.
That's great news. A few years ago, I remember a local guy had his late thirties Mopar coupe street rod stolen from his carport. It was some dumb*** kids joyriding it, and they t-boned someone on Pacific Hiway in the car. My friends at the towing yard said the car's owner, who had built it over a long time, was sobbing, looking at the mangled mess. I'm glad to hear this had a happier ending.
Its real nice to see a good ending here. I couldnt imagine how it would feel to have something ripped from you after 28 years.
