Hey, just saw it in R&C, nice car. Got a buddy with a slop back up in Alaska and I just linked him to this page so he could check it out. How did you do the windshield?

  3. The windshield is from a 49 Olds hardtop and I sunk it into the roof 3" It worked but its going to suck if I ever have to change it.

Your '52 is KILLER. It's a work of art. The proportions-stance-wheel-tire and color dchoice are perfect and this car will be a benchmark for future customizers to strive for. Congrats on the R&C cover. Glad to hear your going to drive it and enjoy it. Absolutely Awesome Car!

awesome work. Too bad you can't go any lower in the back. That car would look great sitting on the ground when parked. The only thing that somewhat throws me off is the decklid. I think it could use a little bit of a section to to follow the lines of the car a little more. But I do say that is some very impressive work. I like it.

PORN! This car is automotive porn! Just had a chance to review the entire post. Few people have this kind of vision let alone the ability to complete it. Congratulations on getting the recognition you deserve for your work.

    Excellent. Hands down.
I disagree, emphatically, with those that suggest the stance should be altered, especiallly that the rear should be lower.
    It's right on.

Saw this car at tradex. had no idea it was from next door.

  23. The tradex car show in Abbotsford was alot of fun! I managed to get George Barris away from signing autographs long enough to get him to sign my dash . I forgot to do that when I was at the GNRS. Hes 85 and still going he,s awsome!! Chip Foose was also there and I got him to do a loose sketch of my car. What a nice guy it took him all of about 1 min to do it and it looks great! great weekend!

The Jade Idol has been my favorite custom car since I first saw it in a mag in '82.

Your piece of work here is simply AMAZING.

    Well done sir!

Just found the thread and read the whole thing. The car is just incredible, I can't see a single element that's out of place or a single line that catches my eye as not belonging. Most people who build radical customs, to be blunt, have no business building radical customs. The ability to reshape metal and the eye for what really looks right are too often not combined in the same guy, but you are one of those guys who got both and then some, you pulled it off as well as anyone in the world could have. So, what car comes next?

Nice original ideas, I have never seen anybody use a cam for a grill. Keep it coming.
    Fresh car......

  28. Whats next? driving it! On thursday we are going on a road trip to Summerland BC for the Blossom Run rod run and car show, cant wait! my wife is driving her 63 409 wagon with kids and Im taking the Jade Monster. Its about a 600mile round trip on 2 cars that are unproven on road trips but hey thats the adventure right? I got a bra made to protect the front end from rock chips hope I dont bust the windshield as its all mountian roads with some rocks still on the road from winter. ill post some pics of the trip and show when i get back
