I'm looking for a way to speed up my F-1 project a little. I'll be sectioning the hood 3-4ins and would like to see what others have done with their hinges when sectioning .

Maybe theres something easier than making the stockers fit...any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. PB

  6. How much vertical area will you have in the upper firewall? If I was going to run them in the back I thought about pinto/ranger style that have a pocket on the body end that went into the cowl. A bunch of modern cars still use that style. You'd have to move the mounting location on the hood towards the top some. No pictures, are you picking up what I'm layin down? :D

That was my plan on the stude, til I decided to reverse it.

yeah thats exactly how MGB ones are TinB,although I was looking at Jag XK120 style too.. Probably won't have enough room for the original style at the side
