Here's one you won't see too often...

Straight, but rust to the door handles - 13 of 14 chrome strips were there, tho.
It went to a better place last year.

 

I've never seen these chrome/stainless strips on a truck fender before. Were they original from the factory or car strips installed on a truck?

 

Pulled some parts off of this one at a local U-Pull-It a few years ago.

Atch, that's DeLuxe trim, supposedly available on any '48 - '54 conventional cab truck, but deluxe panel trucks seem to be the only bodies originally so equipped. The hydraulic/accessory folks are quite fond of it & hang it on all trucks ...There's a picture of a '54 big truck wearing it in a piece of factory lit. somewhere.
