Flat broke? Why are you building a car? Seriously. Building a car should be your last problem. I am laid off right now so I understand the money thing far too well. Work on things that you have already that don't cost much money than figure out how to build things correctly and no one will **** on you. I think you need to go back and look at how you posed the initial question to understand the response. Why are you concerned about a gas thank when it looks from your picture you need to concentrate on suspension. Get someone close to you to give some real world advice on getting that ch***is in shape first. Hope this helps.

    .... Good advice.

But, if all you can afford to do is to polish the headlight bezels, polish your *** off & be proud of what you accomplish.

Whatever you do, don't give up. That looks like a pretty decent old car.

That is not the car to put a keg in unless it's full of cold beer !

It's a real nice start so get the CORRECT gas tank ! You don't need a tank for a while by the looks of where you are with your car , so do the right thing and get a real gas tank that fits .

Beer kegs were 'the nuts' in the early 60s/late 50s for T-buckets, but they've fallen from favor (overdone), and there are so many suitable stock tanks out there, it's not necessary to add what will look like a holding tank for a manure spreader in the back of your sedan. Small pickup tanks, some van tanks, etc. Just get under with a spiral notebook, a pencil and a tape measure....see what you have room for, then - to IHOP for some sustenance, and off to the wrecking yard with those three items and a full tummy.

If your looking for a cheap tank, look into a 60s mustang gastank.. I know its an OT car, but those tanks go for little over a hundred brand new and you should be able to fit it between the frame pretty east with some brackets..
