1952 Ford Club Coupe with 50 Mercury chopped roof, 56 Ford front fenders grafted on, 51 Merc extended quarters. I'll be getting grill and bumpers sorted. It's been told that this car was in Florida during the late 80's early 90's. It was red and had an olds grill. I don't believe the Buick trim was on it then. Anyone have photos of it at any point?
So what's the plan for it? I've probably got an extra '51 Mercury rear bumper if need be. I really like the roofline and the fenders, it's got potential.
The floating grille bar made of two '56 Dodge halves would look really good in this car, or that Imperial one especially if you could cap the ends off with some lights like a Henry J grille has, would make a nice finished end and a spot for turn signals.
Congrats...and taking it back...priceless. I get the need for further clarity and a few more steps back, Like Hotrods, are they ever done...History helps and I see a admirable rebirth is underway...Have fun with it Tacos...
Where did those pics come from? Did you get any history along with them? Someone in the Photoshop thread could likely clean up those finished pictures if all you have is copies, and you could probably even see what it'd look like with the Olds grille but with chrome on it and the bumpers (and those mirrors gone). Looks like it started as a coupe, and also has had several different versions of tail lights. I might like the Olds grille if it wasn't body-color painted and molded in, same with the front bumper. Sure looks like "****'s Complete RV Service" shared a building with a body shop, too bad the full name of the body shop isn't shown in the pictures.
It looks like it went through a lot of iterations over the years. So it had attention paid to it from time to time and it wasn't left in a pasture to crumble. Good luck with your plans for it. It should be a sweet ride.
