Self Energizing Chev brakes

    What year did chevrolet come out with a slef energizing from brake setup?anyone?and was it still with a king pin?i think it was 53..but not sure..need em for a straight tube i'm building

    51 or 52. Still had a king pin. Trucks used them till 59 with a king pin and solid axle, with 6 lug drums/hubs, but you can use the early 50s car 5 lug setup on the truck spindle/backing plate.

    I just realized I ought to crack open the parts book, since I spent all that money on it...the Bendix brakes were used on cars beginning in 1951.
