    Ha I wonder who was the sucker that bought that Barris Merc? What a waste of money!!!!

    Man, I am going to get a time machine and go back to 1954 and punch my grandfather for not buying that car for $4900.....then I am going to go into the future and see if ODDRODGARAGE is lying like I said earlier.

    thanks, that was fun looking at the ads again.... I remember when I was a kid... dreaming of having one of these cars.... I took only 40 years to do it!

    all I have to say is OMG!! what a baddazz collection of ads those prices are killing me! makes you wish for a time machine for sure the Hirohata Merc and Copper Kart alone Wow!!!!!!! :eek:

    Anyone got a DeLorean and flux capacitor laying around...I need 1.21 jigowatts! The address for Hirohata is down the street from my grandma's house....I am going back in time to punch my gramps as well.

    the prices are unbelievable..but check out all the ad's have street address..damn sure cant do that nowdays..
     
  19. This 1940 Woodie still survives to this day in Spokane, WA. It was bought from this Hot Rod Mart ad, if my memory is correct, the woodie was flat towed from California back to Spokane, and somewhere along the way broke loose, and passed the towing vehicle, coming to a stop in the middle of a field.

    H.A.M.B. member and fellow Inland Emperor Jade Idol owns it and has for many years. Here's a couple recent photos of BIG WOOD.

    Blurry but this is a picture that came with my 40'. It's hard to tell from this (phone picture) but it's the same california plate that's in the add.

    Reminds me of my dads first car, he bought it out of a local paper in the mid 60's 32 ford 5w, $75 or trade for 283
