I was too drunk outside at the kicker big air deally to come insside.... hope you all had a good time!
I got to the meet around 10 and met one HAMB'er from Sacramento who didn't even know about the deal... name was J.T. (?) from the Poor Boys... I saw him wearing one of Coby's CHURCH shirts and kinda sorta figured... I did meet dynamic88 the next day at AAPEX (good meeting you again Josh)... and I bumped into ElP at SEMA... Good god I'm beat...
Mostly did meetings and discussed business Tuesday and Wednesday we were just beat down. I haven't been to SEMA for a few years, seems the only thing that changed was the size of the wheels.... friggin 32" wheels! And tires so low profile they didn't appear to be there at all. Gotta say the hip-hop/rap influence is huge business these days. On the brighter side, turbos are where it' at. I saw more alt-fuel cars and trucks than could be imagined but none were available to the public. Nothing really "new" mind you but the big three seemed to flaunt it like the latest and greatest. I spent about a half hour shooting the shit with Nick Arias Jr. Whata man, so full of ideas he would still like to try. Felt like he and I are on the same page of hot rodding. Met some great US companies that can help me with my product line and are more competitive than thier off shore counter parts. Now I have a ton of homework to do...
So did anyone other than Dynamic 88 and Leon make it to the meet & greet? Anyone that is other than me who was there 2 hours early. BB
Well, as usual something, or I should say someone, conspired to prevent me from getting over there. My daughter showed up from Florida and that meant dinner out with her and my wife and a couple other friends. By the time we were done it was already way after 9:00 and there was no way I could make it. RATS!!! Women always messing up my plans with plans of their own. As I said, RATS!!! Bob, you must be taking after me. If you remember last year I drove to the shop out by the drag strip for the HAMB party and that was on the wrong night! As you say, what a dumb f#*k!!!
Well, my traveling outside of the event was extremely curtailed (that means I couldn't get around the way I wanted). So for me it was just hotel/convention, repeat. Holy crap 2.5 million square
I was out side and in front of the big Gutar......Wated forever with my Jalopy Journal shirt on ...Wore it all day !! Ran into Mr and Mrs agasrcng, Nice to meet you both ! As I was walking down the street saw a guy with a hamb shirt on and talked to him and his group. Next year we need to put this together better...I nominate my self to help out !
I hear ya-Wednesday and Friday (after the show was over) were the only days I even got outside the hotel or show. Next yeat maybe we can make it on Tuesday and somewhere where the bar is fun but there isnt a huge event going on outside. Didnt know about the Kicker thing til we got there. still was fun though
