I've got lots of interests, some of them are about cars, well, most of them, OK, almost all of them.

The car related sites I check out, in order of attendance...

    The HAMB - duh!

Pistonheads - Sports Cars in the UK, speed traps, general motoring news, and other UK related car stuff. I constantly have to defend or explain the USA there. Lots of misconceptions about us.

SCCA Forums - to keep track of new interpretations to foil rules and the new rules that foil those intrepretations

Grassroots Motorsports - Exactly what it says - racing on the cheap. Lots of Autocross and sports car racing, a smattering of rally racing, and the once-a-year visit to the dragstrip

I also browse, but don't contribute to the MR2OC - The Toyota MR2 Owner's Club. Looking at purchasing one as a race car for Autocrossing. You think the newbies are bad on the HAMB, try reading a board that borderlines on ricer, geeze!

Once a month I catch up on the drama (yawn) at Fordbarn.

I also read the GT40 forum on replicas, originals, and the new GT. I'd like to build a replica of a very early Mk1 with non-flared fenders and skinny spoke wheels. Like the one in the movie "A Man and a Woman".

I flip over to the Metalshapers page on occasion to remind myself how talentless I am. Boy is it humbling.

And on really boring days I stop in on the TAMU Sports Car Club site to see what the next event it and check out all the 19 year olds with their smack talk. They do put on a good TSD rally series though. And lots and lots of autocross events.

I used to read the Porsche 356 Club forum, but don't own one now. Same for a vintage SAAB owner's forum, and a couple vintage VW forums. I still pop over the the Porsche 912 forums, or if I've got a specific question I'll ask on the Pelican Parts Porsche forums.

For NON-car stuff, I read a few aerospace and NASA related boards. I'm not allowed to contribute, but I can read. That's what work says.

I read FlyerTalk, for frequent flyers.

I check in to the Seiko-Citizen watch collectors forum to see what rare gem, or odd Military modification those guys are doing. I don't collect, but it's sort of like a train wreck...I went there for repair advice and just keep coming back. FWIW, I've worn the same Seiko watch every day of my life since I bought it new in 1985. It's a wreck, but I like it.

I contribute to "Sailing Anarchy" a get-together for sail boat racers from all over the world. It's almost as active as the HAMB. it's a daily read too, or else you get left behind.

Every week I read the GBCA.org forum. It's our local grassroots sailboat racing organizer, the Galveston Bay Cruising Association. Good folks. I'm a paid up member 'cause they throw kickass parites and let me in. I think it's because I'm good on the Kareoke, good like a tomcat.

I cruise a few modern home design boards, and modernism boards, but they seem to come and go. There is a good one on Houston history and Houston modernism.

I register as modernbeat on all of them, so if you see that name somewhere, it's most likely me. I know that traditional hot rods seem like a small section, but other than the HAMB, what else is there - and who would go anywhere else?

Nothing tops the HAMB. tffn.net is the place to talk about Falcons and Comets. YTmag.com is the place to keep abreast of the latest developments in the world of antique tractors [IMG] I check up on fordbarn.com, fordtrucks.com, and a few others that slip my mind at the moment. I'm a member of a Grand Cherokee mailing list and a Maxima forum too, not everyone can have a cool daily(We really need an "eyes rolling" smiley [IMG])

I follow moparts.com and the HAMB. Sometimes I read the FUCK!, but I don't really have the time to keep up with three boards.

Somebody come up with a rockabilly/pin-up porn site yet? Suicidegirls and Burning Angel are nice but some of those chicks look like gack freaks.
I like 'classy' nekkid chicks [IMG]

It's not quite porn but enjoy with my compliments brother.

I've debated building a car for their yearly challenge. Could be fun...

I can't remember the name of it, but it's about possums in diapers and other wildlife dressed in human clothing.

I'm Nads on that board too.
