  2. I order off the senior menu because I can. :D

It doesn't effect my ETs, but being myself I do everything on my own time so it is sometimes a little longer between passes than most.

What is that car when it has sheet metal?

I never met a discount that I didn't like.:D If they are giving me one I'll happily accept unless it requires sitting in a rocking chair. Old guys rule! Keep kicking ass!

  20. I am using this thread to alert all of you seniors to get a shot to prevent Shingles. I have a case of em dealing me fits I couldn't image, please get the vaccine and avoid this unpleasant ordeal. Trust me, I am not a doctor. ~sololobo~

  21. Hey friends, I am using this nod to seniors to alert you all about getting a shot to help avoid The Shingles. This kicks your ass more than you can imagine, don't overlook it, it is a virus that remains dormant in the body after you have had smallpox. Trust me, it is a miserable experience, please get the vaccine and hopefully avoid it. It is so miserable I am missing the Lone Star Roundup because of it. Take heed friends. ~sololobo~

  22. No ya can't my big sister is 66. :D:D

Ya need aluminum fenders. (Actually I think the aluminum fender cars were after that I'm getting old enough to not remember DOH).

I had a chance to buy some 426 max wedge heads around the turn of the century (all fresh) for about 700.00. I passed and wish I didn't. I got a low deck short block here that would really appreciate those heads.

Senior Discounts are BULLSHIT.............unless you are getting a smaller quantity...as in reduced portions in a restaurant........Senior Discounts are a form of age discrimination.....actually illegal........besides, Seniors in this Country, on average, have more money than youngsters. Go ahead.....make my day....Flame Me!!

But before you do........you should know I am 67. :)

  24. I eat off the senior menue because I don't like the belly buster meals they serve here on the regular menu.

I do use the AARP discount at motels all the time when I travel. It isn't much but it is less than I would normally pay and I haven't really checked but I'm pretty sure that I get the same quality and sized room as anyone else.

Its not a form of age discrimination BTW anyone can eat off of the senior menu because it is against the law to ask someone's age.

Boomer Bashing now that is a form of age discrimination.

The first question I ask is; do you offer police, military or aarp discounts, I got a pocket full of ID's

Shitzuu, foofoo, yapper, why? when you can have a real dog?

Harley can't comprehend that one. I'll take that senior discount every time it's offered and the fare on the senior menu is plenty most of the time but I wish they had a bigger variety.

Nice race car guys and it reminds me of the first guy with a shop that took a chance and gave me a job turning wrenches. JT Carpenter of Waco who was still running circle track in his 80's.

  27. Roadster,
I've only had anyone ask to see my AARP card once. Most motel folks I have run into are young and guess they figure that no one would even want to admit to being that old.

  28. They never ask my age are for ID. Guess that is not to good. Must look aleast my 66. Could be worse. I could be 67.
