The term ratrod is just something that leaves a bad taste in most folks mouths. Has nothing to do with the cars themselves.

What normally happens is that some yahoo comes on here ans starts throwing about words like ratrod and the like and thinks we are all gonna be imoressed. Usually they don't own a car and never have owned a car.

If you watch the next thing is they'll tell you they gotta a honda somethin' or other that they are gonna paint flat balck with red wheels to make it a traditional rat rod. Most of us have seen so much of it that we do one of two things we either write them off and an idiot or jump down their throat.

In my case it normally depends on how bad I ache that day and if i'm bumed at myself for even opening the post. I can't really say about what the deal is for the others. a lot of times its the same guys that tried to impress me with gonna build a rat rod and that didn't work so now they are gonna impress me by being billy bad ***. I'm not easily impressed I either like you or I don't, period.

But getting back to it and to be sure I'm not trying to impress you its all just a matter of semantics. Most of us just don't like the term we really don't care of you build a rattled out old hooptie or a smooth as silk one off custom. Just build it the way you want. Its your damned ride after all.

do you know either of these people?
are you calling one a piece of ****?
and holding the other up as an acceptible example of traditional hot rod?
do you know if one was built by someone with a p***ion and history of hot rodding
and the other built by a paid professional with some kid's daddy's money?
(not that there is anything wrong with that)

your post does say a lot,

    about you.
