I just got back from a whirlwind trip to L.A. and Bonneville.

Thanks to cyclone Kevin for taking the time away from Cyclone Racing Equipment and the rebuilding of the Broiler to show me around.

    Anywho.....

I have a bad case of JetLag, and it has taken 4 hours to load these pictures onto my photobucket account, so please bear with me on this one :)

    Day 1. Petersen Motor Museum.

I landed at LAX at 5.30am and due to the early hour, the US cutoms wouldn't let us off the plane, until 6am. HhhMmm we're off to a good start.

Anyway I got to Petersen Motor Museum a little early, waited til 10am, then in I went.

A truely great place,, made all the better by my admission to the VAULT!!!!

    I'll let the pictures speak.

    Now for the Vault.

They hold cars there as they rotate them thru the museum, and as storage. As there is now a So-Cal Speed Shop exhibition there, there were some from that shop.

Andrew, Sorry to say you'll have to wait until next week for the rest of the pics, as I am taking the family to Sydnny for the week-end.

The way photobucket loaded up the pics, It'll take weeks to get all the photos loaded.

Is the 'car park' with the open mesh wall really their "storage"?????

If so, very poor security and storage environment for such iconic, rare, and high dollar items.

Great stuff though, glad you had a great time.

I miss SoCal. Why in the hell did I move back to Illinois? Especially now that the trees are turning colder and soon that damn white stuff will be falling.

Photo with Socal tank appears to be at street level.

  23. Might be under the building, but as jimbob said, doesn't look real secure or clean for that matter. A lot of the cars look quite dusty, which doesn't seem like a big drama, but probably not real good for all those fancy paint jobs.

Oh Shit I've been caught out!!!!

The So-Cal sponsored tank was photographed in the carpark. It was just dropped off for the So-Cal display that was going together when I was there. It was late, I was tired ...... !!!

I'll load up some more pictures in a couple of days - I just got back from a long weekend away with the family.
