So they actually charged you to park your green Shoebox last May in that lousy spot by the port-a-johnies ACROSS THE STREET from the event? Looked like a freebie spot to me. ;)

  3. YES, i paid. Also, it wasn't ACROSS THE STREET from the event! Those streets surrounding the park are full with at least a couple hundred cars, all of which are part of the show. Nice try. What did you bring?

  5. I got TONS of great feedback on the car. I dig G***ers, and thought for the few that share my p***ion, i'd put it in a viewable spot for them. Did you bring a car there? Did you bring a car this past weekend?

    Enough said. Thanks.[/QUOTE]

You crack me up. You Orange County transplant. Hell I listen to George Strait and I know who Mike Ness is. I drove though town Sat. afternoon and the friggin harleys and crotch rockets out numbered the cars. Was gonna stop but had the wife with me and she is not a fan. Just barely tolorates my affliction.

Just curious, how much did it cost to drive into the event?

  8. $35 in advance, or $40 at the show. $5 off each if you're a West Coast Customs member. I think that's about $20 cheaper than May Paso.

T-Man- Relax, brother! My comment was about Ness "wanna be's", not Mike himself- You know, guys with no car trying to be look/ act like him. (My brother in law played b*** in Social Distortion for 20 years (John Maurer) so I think I'm allowed to make a joke reference.)

    jay

LeadsledOlds- Paso is 200 miles from "so cal" so the show is kind of special for that location....

hahahahahha and some fine work you do JIMA.....Groucho come on the show isnt that good and I think that one paso show a year is plenty... as for the nessabilly's, ****abilly's,orcabilly's and all the other screw them and let them flourish with there 4 door late 60's cars.... that are primered and have red wheels....maybe they will learn someday...I have been going to the paso show in may for about 8 years...Since i had a car to take... and it does get bigger and bigger every year and as far as free parking you have to take what you can get in may....the show is most often sold out..and for those of you that are reading this and havent been... go in may and eat at JOES!!!

Here's some pics from the weekend. I've got more, but they're on a different computer, so I'll upload them when I can.

In response to what some of the Paso regulars have been saying, this was my first time to a Paso show, not because I watch the Discovery Channel or want to be like Mike Ness, but because this is the first time I've lived reasonably close and knew about it ahead of time. All in all, yes, it was a small show, but the quality of the customs was very high, and that combined with the laidback atmosphere made the 180 miles from the bay area worth it. I'd much rather take a little extra time to see some quality cars twice a year than see the same ole **** every time at GG in Pleasanton (the cars at GG aren't really ****, but seeingthe same stuff again and again makes me wonder why I keep paying fifteen bucks to get is, but I still go anyway because otherwise the withdrawal syptoms get too strong).

Keep Paso alive spring and fall.

  16. ****! I only got 4 pages in April '05 R&C. Are we done here? Or do you still have an axe to grind with me?

I'm done- I just pointed out that you made this ***** post about something you did the exact same thing. In my story I tried to use cars that were inside the event for the same reason you made this post- TO SUPPORT THE EVENT. Maybe those guys you complained about ALL paid and just parked for the good photo op too?

  18. Are you KIDDING me? I'll repeat myself ONE ****ING MORE TIME for the thinking impaired. I PAID to park in the mentioned area as do a couple hundred cars in the May show. The streets surrounding the park ARE pay areas in May. If you want to get into this further, PM me for my phone number. I'll be glad to go over this again, and again. Oh yeah, did i mention that the streets surrounding the park are PAY areas in May? The cars in the surrounding streets ARE part of the show in May. Do i need to mention it again? And, as far as you thinking people paid and still parked there for a photo op......it's not neccessary in September. Plenty of open gr*** in this show. WOW, you DO still have an axe to grind. Jeez, i think i need a nap.

Oh that's you Groucho? We talked to you in the parking lot of the hotel in Paso in the beginning of summer. I was the idiot with the bare metal chopper that was getting bottles broken over his head.

I paid my fees, but still parked next to the PhotoMat Java Hut outside the show. I got prime parking next to a Tahoe and a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Oh, and I was wearing a Social Distortion shirt, too.

Whoops- my mistake! I was not aware that the gas station across the street from the park was a paid participant area. I will be more informed next time. Thanks Jim

  26. The gas station was on ****ing friday, when NO cars are on the gr*** in the park. You're starting to piss me off now! I'll PM you now to see how far you care to take this. PS-Jimmy White thinks you're funny? Guess what i think?
