Are the motor mounts OK?

 

They arent great, but wouldnt they rock it at idle and at a static rev?

 

Burnt valve?

 

The 56 load-o-matic distributor is a piece of ****.It quite possibly isn't advancing.I would go down to Autozone and get a 57-up distributor that has both centrifugal and vacuum advance.My 2¢

 

If the fronts were broke, yes. But, the rear mount wouldn't necessarily show up until it was under load.
