Hot Rods Setting up Early Mallory dual point in Banger advice

Has anyone installed an early Mallory , I'm talking a model "C" dual point with the mech advance like a stock A has, and the set screw as the A has . Can get it running but Idle is the problem any of you HAMBers have info that can help ? Maybe we can get a Thread going to list model and numbers to get a list of how old and when they were made .
