I had to cut out the driver's side wheelwell, straighten it and weld it back in, it was too beat up to pull the dents out. I got a dash mount mirror for a 58-62 Corvette, it looks nifty, but if there's amiddle passenger you won't be able to see out of it.
These are some shift knobs my pals at The Hate Factory are making, looks good on my shovel I love this El Camino, does it belong to anyone on here?
Haha glad Im not the only one...hurts even more when you are dumb enough to do it a second ...or third time
It actually hurts worse than it looks, like a fresh tattoo that your drunk buddies are slapping just cos they know you got one. The pants were severely caught up in the tool, it took a while to get untangled.
I never read the Urban dictionary definitions, I just figured the guy sitting in the middle was practicing his downhill skiing technique.
I had a '62 LeMans that the entire rear quarter was pushed in 3"-4" deep, and those sculpted body lines were all built back up with bondo... until a big chunk came off.
Nads, this post (this car) is why you are my hero. Head first, balls deep. I am really impressed at how much time and effort you have put into this car. I cant wait to see it finished. I am sure it will be as outstanding as your last one. and thanks for posting our shift knob, looks great on your bike. Ready to start a shop with me yet?? Love you..
Tedium, tedium, I love Slicksand though, it makes work easier, it's $70 a gallon but it's worth it in terms of time saved. Things are moving fast now, drinking lots of water, Jay, it's helping with the cramps a lot. Roof, fins and dashboard should be painted by this weekend.
Progress is looking good. The green 59 with Scallops is mine. HotrodSurfer was fostering it for a couple months when I moved from Philly to Chicago and apparently took it to the Jersey Shore where that pic was taken. It's nice though, I drove it today. I wish I had the patience to do all of the work you are doing. I got the floors and rockers repaired, drivetrain done and started driving it. Can't wait to tear it down again and make it 1) not leak and 2)shiny aquamarine.
Yeah, I'm using those little paint divider moldings, I got repros and they're not all that good, originals show up, rarely, but they're expensive. I don't know if I want to flatten the paint on the body a little, it might look good contrasted with the gloss on the roof and fins.
