Neither are the hot chicks on the beer posters...but I still keep my posters. This just demonstrates that even car guys with cool shit are still overly critical of their own stuff.
Nads, All of your blood, sweat and tears has certainly paid off. It looks great. Nice job. For a while there I thought Jay would finish his before you finished yours, although it hasn't been the best year for him and his family. I can't wait to see Jay Fishbeck's '59 and Cody Walls' wagon when completed....... Mike
I had a car like that once. I know we all have to use some sort of filler but some people making whole damn panels, that's crazy.
Now that she's done, this thread is done, but my fun with her as a driver has begun, it was a lovely day to drive her to work.
I bought this mirror on ebay back in November and I never saw it, it was from Germany, I assumed the guy had ripped me off, and then it showed up last week, it looks great, the convex mirror itself is shit, I'll replace it with flat glass.
Damn Nads, looking good. I hadn't visited this thread for a LONG time. The bondo abuse title reminded me of a 55-57 T-Bird a guy in B'ham was trying to sell. That car was completely covered with little patches, too many to count, from little 1"x2" up to maybe 3"x9", all pop riveted on. Hundreds of them..... Proudly he sez' "now all ya have to do is skim coat it with bondo and it's as good as new". I didn't know what to say, so I just got in my truck and left. God save us from crazies with pop rivet guns and too much time on their hands.
Yes they, are, I had the vent window cut too big and I should have replaced the window regulator instead of attempting a half assed repair, it hung up and cracked the glass. I don't have time to fix it before Billetproof.
I cut a coil outta the rear springs, she sits nice and level now, maybe next year I'll bag her. Fixing the A/C now to make the trip down to So. Fla to hang out with my Salvagerz buddies for their 10th anniversary shindig.
Yes sir, and that last shot is so c l e a n. The bagging will leave like a Cotton Candy Cloud. Sweet.
