SF bay area chrome shop

There are quite a few around, especially East Bay, but does anyone have a recommendation for a shop that does really nice chrome?

 

For REALLY NICE chrome plating, Sherm's in Sacramento. Be prepared, tho---it's EXPENSIVE!!

I have seen work by other shops that was almost destroyed (by them) that Sherm managed to save.

Sherm's has been on trophy winners from the GNRS to Pebble Beach and many stops in-between.

Damn, sounds like I work for them!! (I don't, but have personal stories to relate!)

 

And be prepared for a long, long, long, wait. Good work is never fast.

 

Man, this topic again. Sherm's is nice, but here's gotta be an alternative $$$$$. C'mon fellas, who's got a source? If not, I am starting a shop to break up the monopoly

 

I have had some stuff plated and polished by San Joaquin Chrome in Lodi. their work was good, priced OK, turn around quick. chrome is not cheap.

 

I've had good work done by Superior Chrome in San Jose. Used to go to Faith until I found out they were sending everything to Superior.

 

Just go right over the San Mateo bridge to High Lustre in Hayward. Used them many of times, always a quality job, and in a timely manner. Prices are alittle high, but what other options is there...Good luck , hope this helps..

 

Not in the bay area, I use Clovis Specialty Plating in Fresno good prices and nice work. Only open 3 to 4 days a week ask for John
