Just picked up the engine kit today for the Shakedown's Chevy 327 Engine Giveaway. Later today I'll be off to the engine shop where the machine work is already underway.

This engine build features Fel-Pro gaskets and Federal-Mogul/Sealed Power engine parts... all USA made. Good stuff. Plus TRW pistons (not shown). 350 HP/327 hydraulic cam. New pan and timing cover plus a vintage Edelbrock intake, carb, alternator, starter, distributor... the works! A complete, ready to run engine and somebody's gonna win it!

Thanks to NAPA-Lakeland Automotive in Waupaca, WI for supplying the engine kit, K&B Engines of Marshfield, WI for the machine work on the block and engine assembly and Automotive Specialists in Neenah, WI for the heads and head work. Great sponsors to work with... we'll have an update on our NEW and IMPROVED WEBSITE soon...

Remember... every participant at the Shakedown is getting multiple chances of winning this engine.

TRW flat top pistons.... not positive on the heads. We're looking for an early set of 327 heads but we DO have a set of 305 heads that would bump the compression from what I'm told.

The intake is an Edelbrock C3P (?)... we have a Mallory dizzy that we may convert to a Pertronix OR we'll find another... not sure. We want to put on a set of vintage finned aluminum covers on it, too.

I'm building an engine run stand/trailer combo right now so we can drag it to a couple shows and display it. Cliffy's building a set of zoomies for it so it should sound pretty good when it's lit....
