I know lots of guys thought it was "too nice a car to cut", that picture to me showed that they were wrong. It was done correctly, proportionally and that car now has bad ass class. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Are you running anything in the back like a luggage rack, big trunk, spare tire, or some sort of accessory item to complete near stock-ish look? It's still looks old gangster movie[emoji327]!
I wasnt planning on a spare tire, we were just going to fill in the holes. No sure a spare would look good.
No, a spare tire on the rear would indeed look terrible. I suggest getting a second taillight for the passenger side (if it doesn't already have one, can't tell from the photo) and move the license plate to the center to even things out. Here's how we did it on my Dad's Coupe:
Keep It Simple, Stupid. I like the blacked out body lines, that was my vote in the photoshop thread. Looks good.
Just checked back, thought everyone knew what kiss was, and rereading my post, realized I coulda worded it better.
No not quite done yet. Bob has been kicking ass on it and is a good guy to work with. I don't mind on the time as it is looking better than I thought it ever would. I have fought him the entire way on everything from the chop, to the motor, to the color of the engine and firewall.......in the end, Bob Bleed has gotten his way with everything so far (except the white walls) and I could not be happier.
Your "A" sedan looks great! White walls are a personal thing, and they look okay. Bob is right though, it would look better with black walls......the white, the tan, and white walls are sort of fighting each other. IMHO Drive it like it is, and flip the white walls when you need a change.
I like the white walls, with the black fenders and rims, it looks awesome. I think black walls would just make it all disappear. Car looks so good Shane.
Wow what a cool transformation this car has undergone.....as I read this post I thought you must have rolled your eyes a few times at some of the vehement opinions expressed and I was amused at how quickly some people reacted to opinions to not modify the car lol! When a poster poses the question what do you think? or whatever its open season opinions are like camaros.....right? I think previously restored cars are fair game what really pisses me off is people who still hack up the survivor cars 10 yrs ago there were a number of hot rod/bike tv shows I saw a #$%^ (slicked back hair thinks hes related to an outlaw ) hack a bone stock barn find model A sedan up only to end up using nothing but the body shell worst one was the @$$#%!* (bearded magnum p.i.) who took an original paint and interior '27 roadster and used nothing but the cowl some sections of the 1/4s and the turtledeck I don't care what kind of flak I get that is just senseless......anyway this is a restored car so its not sacrilege.
