1957 Chevrolet Positraction Differential 3743833 July 30 1957, 1955-1964 Center Section, This is an Original Chevrolet Positraction Rear Axle Differential used on Chevrolets in 1957. The Chevrolet casting number cast into the differential case is # 3743833. It is a genuine P case. It is dated G307(July 30, 1957). Counting the gears it is 3.36:1 ratio. It is also stamped 11:37 on the pinion gear which equals 3:36 ratio as well. has not been out long, will need minor clean up. If you are not concerned with the date code this unit will work on 55 thru 62 Corvettes and 55 thru 64 Chevrolets. CARS ONLY Does not fit trucks. This unit spins freely and may or may not need to be rebuilt. However it should be considered a core. No breaks, no welds .... ready to be rebuilt or installed. Therfore it is SOLD AS IS.
