The stall closest to the house is always available for her DD. It's nice having the open space to work in during the day when she is working. If it's raining or snowing she knows that spot will be open when she gets home. If I ever need a little extra space to work in her car goes out and I have instant workspace.

My significant other has two requests: 1) That her little convertible daily driver have a spot in the garage, and 2) That nothing go in the driveway that is unfinished unless covered and presentable. Which in her mind means an actual fitted cover - no tarps etc. Its a pretty tidy neighborhood, and I'm the only guy building car's and boat's in the garage.

Considering the grief many of my friends get from their wives and girlfriends over time money / time / focus spent on Hot Rod's and Raceboats, I consider myself lucky to be with someone who not only tolerates, but encourages my interests. Meeting those two requests is a small price to pay, and frankly I agree with number two.

To make it all work she suggested that we remove the carpet in the guest room over the garage, and use it to store parts, tools, and misc. stuff that would normally be in the garage. As long as its reasonably clean and doesn't smell, she's good with it.

There is actually room on the property to build an over-sized one car garage adjacent to the side load house garage. She's OK with that idea too, as long as the street visible walls are brick that matches the house. For now its not in the budget though.
