Hello HAMB sters, Going through the things in my garage, I found the box of Baby Moon Discs I bought many years ago. They are Shawe Calnevare Baby Moons for the 49 to 53 Chevys with original rims. Were these a thing for the after market all those years ago? Was this name just another one of those companies like JC Whitney or Warshawski, where these type of accessory items would be found? Was this name looked upon fondly with good quality stuff? Or just another in a sea of after market companies? I must have bought them for my 52, but I replaced the original rims probably just as many years ago and they won't mount.
It's Shore-Calnevar .... same type aftermarket business as Namsco, Lyon, etc. Lyon was the only maker of caps that didn't start rusting the day you popped them on. Whitney & Warshawsky didn't manufacture anything - just bought from the makers & shipped it ....
