you have no time to work on that and the merc! great score. i was planning on heading up your way on monday to pick up a 30 roadster, but the guy sold it out from under me..
Update, sorry no pics but i got it to run with a different distributer, some wireing, a different carb, a starter rebuild, and a few other little things. I put a big pipe on the upper radiator hose and used a wire to remove parts of the seat from the radiator. Dang rats. Then i drove it around my track, lots of back fires and it doesnt like being under load, but ill iron out that stuff. Still needs lots of adjusting, bolts a little welding here and there. But fun as hell So Invisible kid relayed a story from the original owner, apperently in late sixties when he was driveing it to high school or just after. Someone that didnt like him tried to light it on fire by breaking the window and tossing some fire in it. The neighbor saw this and ripped out the door panel and put out the fire. Well the broken gl*** was in the door visible due to no door panel, but no other visible damage. Well when i took that trash bags and blankets of the seats, at first i was surprised becasue they seemed pretty nice till i got to the driver side and found it burnt away. This is one lucky car not to have burnt up.
I finallly got a frame and mocked it up. I decided to go with a 327 that i had in a jeep in high school (just got the jeep back). Once ive played with that ill start building my hemi.
Lookin' Sweet! Can't wait to see it sitting on all four under it's own power. I think your doing it well deserved justice. Keep us posted, and thanks!
