Projects Shepard's Pie '34 Ford Pickup build

here is the first set of mockup pictures. The back bumpers are some old Deuce bumpers that I got from a friend in Seattle. We cut em down to make little bumperetts to give the rear some more visual. I also scored the frame at the Spokane Swap meet for $10.

 

I wanna see the metal work on that roof repair.

 

That fender repair was monumental. (the wire edge is always difficult to fix, this was executed very professionally)

Love the wood floorboards, and the ch***is work is straightforward. (Love the center crossmember)
Deuce gravel pan was way over the top, as were the bumperettes.

This is a serious thread...

 

You mean on the visor?

 

The OD means driven on the open road. The truck is coming together very clean, and well done-thought out. Bravo, young fellow's.

 

Here are the last few mockup pictures. We took it to a show like this before we blew it apart for paint.

Thanks. I think it's fairly traditional, not 100% but that's not what we where trying to do. I'd say It's a modern interpretation of a Hot Rod with traditional inspiration. haha. I don't know what i'm talking about!

Final touches

 

You just can't improve on the lines of an original '34 Ford pickup body and fenders. Nice! And excellent color choice, too.

Beautiful. This truck was featurd in a recent R&C issue, right?

 

Love the truck...wonder how it would look if the wheels were painted to match the firewall...
