At long last, my 1964 Corvair Monza has sold. A really nice couple from Hummelstown, PA spotted it here on the HAMB Classifieds. We did the deal, went to the title company and placed it in her name. They came with trailer and an air tank to fill up the tires. One tire was shot (it was only 35+ years old). I had a spare wheel and made a call to my local tire service. 'Vairs have a 13" wheel, and 6.50x13 bias-ply or even 185-80R13 radials are becoming non-existant. But the stars aligned for us, as someone had special-ordered a 185-60R13 and never picked it up! So new tire mounted, we rolled the little sedan up the ramps easily and away they went. I wish them the best with their new purchase. I had my fun with it. So I am without an old car now. You know what that means -- THE HUNT IS ON! <label for="rb_iconid_10"></label>
she looks like she was a solid old girl. hopefully theyll restore her like she deserves. corvairs are so unapreciated.
Sometimes it's hard to see them go on the trailer and head on down the road. I just sold a 64 Dodge Model 440 2-door hardtop last weekend, it was one of too many projects.......
