Here's some I have laying around. Not as fancy as most of the others posted here. The old trusty white hurst ball is one of my favorites.

Is this too Hokey? Weed wacker piston and con rod on one leg of a beach cruiser springer fork. Hey, it works pretty well, and it's much more comfortable than the short shifter with the 250cc dirtbike piston. The skull's not a shift knob, but would make a good one. It's made from aluminum using a 3-d prototype modeling machine (whatever they're called). You can't see it in the pictures, but it's got interesting patterns from where it was built up in layers. Thanks, Kurt
I've posted this before, but here is my Norm skull going in my '49 Fleetline. I modified a set of braces for him to mount on it, since I am an orthodontist.
I've been saving this for my first rod, its a br*** airburst timer fuse from a WWI french artillery shell I picked up on my travels, I've got a couple but this is the best one polished up.
These are the shifter knobs in my 56 Willys Wagon. They are river rocks that I drilled and poured epoxy into so that I could thread them to install on the shifter handles. The letters and numbers are sand blasted into the stone. Not real hot rod but they fit the old four wheel drive theme, and I had never seen rock shifter handles before. I'm the only one on my block. Later.
