I sprung for a Lentech AOD. It will live behind a 351 M ( M in name only ) in my 56 Monterey Wagon. I'm curious whether I will need to use a floor mounted shifter. I would prefer to retain the column location, but the kid in me longs for manually shifting. Should it come to the floor location, my eye tells me that it will be a very close fit. I would be grateful for some guidance.

I have a Lokar floor mount shifter on my AOD behind a 302 in my wagon. The shifter mounts to the floor and uses adjustable rods to connect to trans.

Go with the kid in you! Factory '93 Mustang shifter is basically a bolt in.

^^^^^ definitely what I would do. You can lengthen the arm on the column and then figure out the indicator from there. B224B838-C0E2-458C-8CDF-7D63DF8C1728.jpeg F60F5F4E-78F0-4B0E-8E5D-495B20795866.jpeg
