Your left foot needs to be on the clutch pedal.......forget about that middle pedal. You don't need it.

Resting your hand on the shifter while driving has long been thought to prematurely put wear on internal transmission components.
Does that mean we will stop doing it?
Right.......about the time we stop prematurely wearing out our tires by doing burnouts.

 

I haven't driven a V8 4-speed car since the 80's....
