Looking to see if anyone knows of someone who may have experience with shimming a body on a 40 Ford convertible. This is a finished car, but that has some issues with doors not fitting good. I'm in the north Atlanta area. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you "trued" your ch***is? I was on a site last month with a guy that never took the time to level his Model A frame and needed a half of an inch of shims just to get his doors to close. I tried to explain to him that when his Model A was ***embled, the body was dropped onto the frame with no shims at all. The last Model A that I built had a 3/8" sag in the frame in front of the middle crossmember. Did you remove the body on your '40 Ford? Is it a stock or after market ch***is? Are you using all new body to frame cushions? It all starts with a good foundation.
