When I painted my '63 Biscayne almost ~11 years ago, I did not want a shiny finish. Just my style (Also a shiny finish would have showed all my body work flaws) lol
Anyway, the last few years it has been getting a bit dull, even for my likes.
Unfortunately, due to my handicaps, I am not able to do the old polish and shine.
So a few weeks ago I started looking at a product called Shine Juice... Watched several videos on it, and decided to try it.
Easy liquid wipe on, wipe off process, so a few days ago I was able to do the roof and hood before my back and legs gave out.
I am very impressed. Supposed to last up to a year, so we will see, and enough in the can for maybe two more applications.
It gave me the look it had originally, and I like it.
Anyone else use this stuff ??

Well I have 2/3 of a quart of real WV moonshine in my shop. But I am afraid if I put that on there, not only would the paint disappear, but probable would eat thru the metal too !!

I know a guy who had a black semigloss paint job that used to rub it with WD-40. Have no idea the long term effects.

The cheap imitation "lemon Pledge" sold at Dollar Tree.......makes a GREAT detail shine wipe on.
    Smells great too!

  11. Back in the '70's I used to carry a can of the real stuff in my car. First job at every rod run was to "pledge" the car. Looked like brand new paint all day.

No, it's not. Maybe you meant linseed oil? Still no.

I use Sweet Patina Patina Sauce. I've tried almost everything else, I love the stuff. It's way better than anything else I've used in the past.

If you ever plan on painting a car after you have used Pledge/ Patina Sauce/ Linseed Oil - you will have to completely remove the wax / oil in it.
It will not just wipe off with wax and grease remover enough to paint.
Completely Media blast or Water Blast it is the only way.

Had an ex father in law that made some smooth corn shine, it was a fun wedding reception when I married his daughter!

My brother prefers potato mash, me not so much....

And let's not forget dago wine!! Ahh... the good Ole days !

I use 303 vinyl protector on my 18 year old convertible roof and it still looks great. I did my model A insert in the spring and it did a good job bringing it back to life.

Washing the car with watered down CLR is an easy way to remove the oxidized paint.

Would you be able to elaborate why you don't like it? Did it not last as anticipated? Something else?

Always made our dirt car look great for the Main Event. It works great on tires too.

I used poppy’s patina sauce on a truck recently and was not impressed at all. It streaked badly. Scuffed it after a day or 2 and tried again. Same result. Could be user error but if it’s that hard to achieve a decent finish I’ll just paint it next time.
