What product did you use? Poppy's is a different brand from Patina Sauce (sold by Sweet Patina). I use Patina Sauce and really like it.

If you used Poppy's and scuffed it, was it the wipe on clear coat?

When I first applied it, I was very happy. Did exactly what it said it would do..
However, the first time I washed my car, it looked like shit... dull patches all over.
Have washed it since then, and just remains the same.
Also the beautiful original finish has long gone, and back pretty much to original dull.

    Sauce goes on a sandwich.
    Juice goes with the sandwich.

Wet sanding, rubbing compound and wax goes on a car.

I used to have a 55 Savoy mild custom. And it had a nice satin Black paint job on it, but after a few years it's started getting dull. I used to spray it down with WD40 in a rag or armerall And it would look great for about a month. Just my experience

There is no magic wand or liquid miracles. Although I did have a late 80s Ford PU with the requisite dull finish. I bought this bullshit "clear" stuff that came with a sponge applicator. Being a 250 it took the whole bottle but it really did shine the living fk outta that thing. Did it last? I had that truck for almost 3 years and it still had a shine when I sold it. It was like sponging on some quick dry clear enamel or lacquer. Still, I have no idea what it was.
