Just a few pics of the 40 ford I just finished for a customer. it is a culmination of 17 months and over 110K . I must admit I am pleased with the way it turned out and just snapped a few pics before the trailer got here. i chopped it 3 1/2" and moved the top forward 2 inches. It is all must II ford rear 302 and aod trans of course all the ac etc. leather and ostrich interior. I know you can build it yourself better and for less, but this is my business and I am glad for customers like this one , starting another monday for him ... merry christmass ...

i think that maybe to purty to be on here...did you nick the underside of the frame just to make sure it was a little used :D jk. looks very nice.

as the old saying goes, 80% of your business from 20% of your customers...

  3. That's Right! I would have hunted the Ostrich myself and saved that money too!

You must have a real talent to have someone pay that kind of money, that's a good judge of your skills. :D

VERY nice looking car. the proportions look right on. To some (probably most here) 100K sound like a rediculous amount to put in a car, but if you demand the kind of quality that this one represents and you can't do it yourself, be prepared to PAY. Even at that i'm guessing your shop rate must be under $50/hr and if it is that's way less than the "name" shops are getting.

A friend of mine has a shop that turns out similar cars and he hasn't finished one for less than $100K in over 5 years. He has work lined up for for the next three years and would have more but that's the limit of how far in advance he books.

Very nice! You do quality work, and it shows! 110k is and outrage, but we all know 'Good isn`t cheap' and it adds up fast! Can you tell me what kinda wheels are those? they look a little Salt Flat, but I know there not.

  10. Nice work, I like the chop. Arent repeat customers great!? We are on car number 2 and 3 for a local doctor. A 34 5W and a 39 Standard. The 34 will be a wheezer original and the 39 is HAMB worthy, I will post pics when it comes back for final assembly.

Seen this car in person a couple months ago. Very nice work and detail. Sam works hard on his cars and it showed. Sam did you get to stomp on it before you loaded it up? Ha Ha, I know you did

Very, very nice car and the stance is great. I think your price is very reasonable for all that work.

My dad always said that he had no argumnt with other people who charged less for their work. He figured they ought to know what they were worth.

    Merry Christmas.

well its about 70k labor and 40 parts , this was a deal where the owner will not lt me use anything rebuilt or used everything is brand new such as the rear end a disc brakie rearend from ford 8.8 , brand new complete, not cheap crate ford mtr and crate trans etc, custom made wheels, interior is 10K etc etc, gps , power everything , and the chassis is even buffed and polished every inch . just how it oges on that sort of build.. and i think after a show or two it will become a reg driver for him ...

Sam... I wish I woulda known you when we started mine... your car is a runnin', drivin', beauty for that much money...and I'll have 10% more than that in mine when we roll into Starbird...and NO interior!! The interior guy won't be able to get to mine 'till spring...:(

I do to it would be nice to do a small car for a change, we have a willys pickup chassis to build then a 39 olds 4 door turnkey restorod, kinda boring...

We try to stay on one car at a time if customers money is right and we dont have to idle while he rakes up more.. the 39 we are starting has a monthly amount so ill have to only work about 1 1/2 weeks a month on it .. aint life fun when it is full of these old heaps. we will have the 40' in tulsa as a debut show for it..... seeya there
