Shipping a panel truck?

    Well i need some help. My son found a nice project in the classified section a 48 gmc panel. Now he is thinking about gettin it with me and mom kickin in little. Problem is car is in iowa while we are in southern california.


    My question. About how much would it be to get it shipped too me as i dont have the time nor money to drive up and get it myself?

    Can anyone help me on this?

    i dont have the number handy, but if you look up "creative rides" ask for Pete, he has done a bunch of transports for me, and he's always WAY CHEAPER than anybody else. hope this helps.

  5. If you can't go see it in person, don't buy it. It's as simple as that.

    I'm not saying anyone's out to stick it to you, but unless it's so cheap you can write off the purchase price plus the $1500 or so to get it shipped (less, if you use one of the big commercial outfits that has about 50-50 odds of being a horror story as getting you the truck safely), it's not a good idea. You have to rely on the seller to be sure of what you're getting.

    All it takes is one or two little things that two people have a different opinion on for someone to think they got ripped off on the price.

    With all the cars in SoCal, the stuff I see people posting ending up in the you-pull-it places out there, there's nothing you can't even spend another $1000 on right there at home and buy instead?

    Alpine Transport, based here in Iowa, is picking up a car at my shop today. They have transported cars for me in the past and I can recommend them. They go nationwide and can be reached at 563 382 0702 Executive Transport out of Waukon, Iowa is another good one at 1 800 741 6836 JW
