Anyone know of any good shippers to use for somewhat heavy parts (spindles, stearing parts, king pins, etc.)? I was going to go with UPS, but didn't know if anyone had an experience with other shippers at some special rate . . . . Thanks in advance.
Greyhound has realy good prices on shipping to ship a model a front fender from Tucson AZ. to Madison Wi. was only $32 p.s. I got a quote from ups before calling greyhound it was going to be $101 for 1 fender!
Hey! I can say that FedEx Ground service is top notch. It's cheaper than the brown guys, and it's coast to coast in 5 days. Packages are insured up to 100 bucks for the initial ship quote, and cheap past that. You probably could open up a shipper account if you had enough stuff to justify it. There you might be able to negotiate some better prices. Otherwise, box it up and take it to a drop location. Later!
the post office has 2 flat rat boxes 12 x 3.5 x 14 11 x 8.5 x 5.5 shiped any were in the usa up to 70# for $8.10 later kb
I ship every day with Fedex and they do a good job. The brown guys have managed to really damage a few items that were sent to me and I dodge using them. I recieved a solid rim that looked like they kicked it out of the back of a moving truck and they also managed to bend a motorcycle frame...tried to get them to cover some of the damage and both times they dodged & blamed it on the guys who shipped it to me.
