Thanks for the kind words .....I loved the looks of the shoebox...but never figured I would run across one. Once located it took several years for it to finally pan out...but it was well worth the wait and persistence. The old fella that owned it was somewhat of a hoarder, owning several cars/trucks that once bought, just sat on the yard and rotted away..I will post some pics of a few 50's chevy's that actually have trees growing through them. It kills me seeing some of these cars that looked as if they were drove one day and parked to let die the next.

Gentleman, quick question....just recently while trying to get the car to turn over I will experience a "click"...almost sounding like the solenoid. After sitting for a few minutes I would hit it again and it would crank. Fast fwd a few days and now I am only getting a "click". I have removed the cables/wires and cleaned the terminals of the solenoid but am still getting that click. Are solenoids a common issue with these? and anyone happen to know which part number for a solenoid im needing for a 8ba flathead.

    thanks for any help.
